Teater på Valsen (Travelling Theatre)

The project Teater på Valsen visited, in February and March 2012, three villages in Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality: Ådum, Stadil-Vedersø and Fjelstervang - with performances, workshops and cultural barters.

The activities were held over two intensive days in each village.

In each village there were:

– played two performances, one for the youngest children
   and a family performance for all ages.
– held at least four workshops for children, teenagers and adults.
– held a streetparade though the city with lively
   adverticement of the project.
– held a cultural barter with dinner and singing games as
   a grand finale.

The cultural barter actively involved the locals and their creative abilities and targeted citizens of all ages.

At the end of Teater på Valsen the citizens of the three villages were invited to a communal closing-event at Teatret OM 14th April 2012.

(Storm and cherry blossoms) in collaboration with Taiko.

Taiko (Italy): Taiko is one of the few groups outside of Japan, which specializes in the Japanese drum technique, taiko.

Signe G. Thomsen: entertainer, actor and drama teacher.
Musen i Pakken (The mouse in the box), parade and workshop.

Tippe Molsted: Singer, dancer and expert in Danish folk culture.
Workshop and parade.

Organized by: Teatret OM in collaboration with the local kindergartens, after-school centers, schools, community- and civic associations.
